Robert Harding, Jr. correspondence and photograph, 1916-1920.

This collection consists of letters written by Robert Harding, Jr. to his mother (Mary Adella Foote), father, sisters (Helen Foote Harding and Adelle) and his aunt Charlotte (known as "Tot"). The letters span Harding's time as a Penn State student from September 1916 to November 1920. In the letters, Harding tells his family about student events, such as his Glee Club activities and Poster Night, as well as writing home about his girlfriend and eventual wife, Lois. The collection also includes a photograph of the Old Engineering Building.

Robert Harding Jr., of Brooklyn, New York, studied mechanical engineering at Penn State from 1916 to 1920 and was an active member of the Glee Club.
